The UK is set to progress with employing the entire amount of immobilized Russia's funds to aid the Ukrainian defense operations, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a shared declaration, the heads of state of the UK, the French Republic, and Germany emphasized that this unified step would escalate tension on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and urge Russia to engage in negotiations.

They further noted that the move would be executed in strong partnership with the United States.

United Kingdom penalties have blocked in excess of £25bn of Russia's funds since Moscow launched its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, previously, resources allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russian holdings had exclusively been drawn from gains and dividends accrued on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and Germany were aligned in their aim to advance efforts toward using the total worth of the immobilized Moscow's national holdings to halt hostilities.
