Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former doctor stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – including acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
These allegations follow what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges he is charged with:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
