The Renowned Musician Calls On Support to Send Together for Palestine Song to UK Festive Top Spot.

A campaign is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The project seeks to provide aid to communities in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian cultural expression.

A Possibility for Solidarity and an "Chart Upset"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a moment to stand with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He acknowledged the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be incredible if that happened, yes,” he said. “I won't be completely let down if it fails to, festive releases are a unique phenomenon.”

Defiant Message of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the version of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's powerful central theme.

“It occupies a profound significance for many individuals,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Production History and Contributing Musicians

The track was produced in the wake of a solidarity show held in late summer. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the performance was shelved during the concert due to the event running long.

The impressive roster of musicians featured on Lullaby encompasses a selection of well-known figures from the music world. All were part of the benefit event, which reportedly raised a significant sum for humanitarian aid.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was crafted by a trio of talented individuals. The song features a combination of the heritage language with freshly written English words.

The team running the initiative have emphasized that their objective is to generate maximum funds for a charitable pot. These proceeds will be allocated to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an non-profit partner.

“There is no a rigid aim,” a representative said. “We aim for as much as possible. Naturally, the higher the total, the greater the impact. Every penny goes out to the people of Gaza.”

The context in the area was noted for its extreme devastation, with a vast majority of property reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“In that context, a handful of millions doesn’t make a massive dent. But I think what truly matters is above all making this cause better known and demonstrating there’s another side to the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is launching at the end of the week. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made accessible to view on a popular streaming site from later in the month.
